Christian World Ministry "..the churches of Christ salute you" Romans 16:16
INTRODUCTION:
1.
Without accountability, temptation becomes all
the more tempting.
2.
Accountability protects us from ourselves.
Two things the Bible teaches on accountability:
A.
FIRST, THE BIBLE TEACHES THAT WE ARE ACCOUNTABLE
TO GOD.
1.
God holds us accountable for our actions and
deeds.
2.
God evaluates everything that we do.
3.
Read Psalm 139:1-8
B. SECOND, THE BIBLE TEACHES THAT WE ARE ACCOUNTABLE TO ONE ANOTHER.
1.
Accountability is a relationship between
believers wherein one has invited the
other to monitor the development of character in one or more areas.
2.
As
Christians, we should give our brothers and sisters in Christ the invitation to
evaluate our character and spiritual development.
3.
As true genuine Christians, we should welcome correction.
CONCLUSION:
1.
We should welcome the loving correction that we
receive from our brothers and sisters
in Christ.
2. Most importantly, we must welcome the correction that we receive from the Word of God.
3.
