God’s perfect timing

G E. Denis / 2021-09-24

Introduction:

Have you ever been in a situation where you are in dire need of help and you keep praying to God for a change in your life or situation.

1)      Now, whatever problem you are facing you keep thinking that there is no other option

2)      Or you let go of hope but all of a sudden, you are suddenly saved from an inescapable predicament.

3)      You didn’t know the events that transpired but you knew it was God who fixed things.

4)       This is called God’s perfect timing

Discussion

A.    Be strong, be filled with His Spirit and wait for God to act (biblical references)

    1.Psalm 27:14

    2. Isaiah 12:2

 a)    Waiting for God to act on our requests or problems may not be a walk in the park

b)    Our courage as Christians is required

c)     Gather our strength as waiting for God is a test of Faith

d)    Get strength from God

B.    God’s timing is suitable to us for His plan is glorious (biblical references)

 1. Ecclesiastes 3:11

  2. Romans 8:25

 a)    God’s timing may not be part of our plan but we should not lose patience

b)    God’s timing may not suit our expectations but He always has a plan

c)     When the time is right, we will realize that God’s       timing is glorious to behold.

C.     :  Live with humility for God is looking for modesty within us (biblical references)

 1. I Peter 5:6

 2. Numbers 32:13

a)    We must humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God

b)    We must not act arrogantly towards others to get God’s attention

c)     We must not anger God by being impatient.

Summary (Conclusion)

We always want time to be on our side when it comes to get what we want. The mistake we are making is getting ahead of God’s plans towards our life.  God’s timing is surely perfect and we need to be patient.  Our intentions may be inclined to our needs but God’s wisdom sees through everything.  Let us stay true and modest while making sure we are patient enough to keep our faith strong.
