Guimaras Island church moves on

A church of the Lord in Sangay, San Roque, Buenavista, Guimaras had 4 baptisms recently as reported by Jephtah Mark Fuentes and Kennedy Pili Gambol in their FB post.

The principle of planting, harvesting, toiling and reaping was followed in the Lord's work at Guimaras Island, a province located southeastern part of Iloilo.

About 50 years ago, American missionaries Charles Garner, Leroy Sedgewick and Jasper Scott along with the late Bartolome G. Dayao, a graduate of Zamboanga Bible College in the 1960's started working in Iloilo City. Now, a congregation exists there and also in some towns of Iloilo province.

Much prayers and work are still needed in Guimaras and other places in Western Visayas. Julius Bernaldez and his wife Joena helped spread the New Testament gospel in that area
