Christian World Ministry "..the churches of Christ salute you" Romans 16:16
Are we still without Christ today?
To be in him, we should TRUST and OBEY the gospel, his offer of salvation (Mtt 28:18-20; Mrk 16:15-16; Act 2:38; Rom 6:3-11).
A "living" FAITH in him is essential to be saved (Jas 2:22-24).
Why did Paul speak of PEACE in Christ?
God promised Abraham that through his SEED "all nations will be blessed", but the law of Moses separated the Jews from other nations (Gen 12:3; Exo 20:1-20; Deu 5:1-3; Isa 59:2).
Whereas the Jews is only a portion of "all nations".
But through Christ we were reunited as one, breaking that "wall of partition" that should bring us PEACE.
He came down from heaven to RECONCILE us in God - for we became his enemies because of SIN (Rom 5:10; 2Cor 5:18-21; Col 1:20-22; Jas 4:4).
What did God do for us to become ACCEPTABLE to him?
Out of great LOVE, he sent his Son to die on the cross to REDEEM the Jew and Gentile through his blood, thus removing God's wrath (Jno 3:16; Rom 1:18; 5:9; Eph 2:4-9).
Why was the Mosaic law abolished (2Cor 3:13; Eph 2:15-16; 2Tim 1:10)?
For UNIFICATION of all people in Christ as promised to Abraham because the Law (exclusive only to the Israelites) divided the nations.
In Christ, both have common access to the Father by one Spirit (Eph 2:18).
To guarantee salvation, all believers must be faithful to the end (Mtt 24:13; Heb 3:14-19).
