The March for Christ, an acronym for Medical Action, Relief, Counseling and Healing for Christ was started by Eddie Poblete, among others, in Baguio City right after the killer earthquake in 1990 that struck various places in Northern and Central Luzon.
Helping the various efforts of March for Christ in the Philippines and other places since the 1990's are various local churches of Christ and non government organizations here and abroad.
This writer had participated in two medical and dental missions in Mindoro and in Cabanatuan City and Palayan City in Nueva Ecija.
Before any medical/ dental mission is done, March for Christ surveys the possible areas to find out the needs to be given and to know if there is a local church of Christ which can follow up the prospects for the Lord.
When Eddie Poblete went back to the USA, the leadership of March for Christ was turned over to Luisito ( Chito) Cusi, among others, who is based in Banilad, Cebu City.
The attached photos show the past and various activities of March for Christ in different places all through the years.
Though a non- government organization with members of churches of Christ as officers, members and participants, March for Christ has gone a long way in doing mainly medical, dental, optical and spiritual missions for the Lord in the Philippines and in other countries.
