Mother of former WBS student puts on Christ

In Galatians 3:27, the apostle Paul wrote" For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ."

The above statement came true as Gloria Solano, 82 years old of La Trinidad, Benguet put on Christ in baptism last December 29, 2021.

The new disciple, a business woman, is the mother of Remedios S. Sumalia, of Balili, La Trinidad, a former World Bible School student, taught in the 1990's by Dan Oliva, Felix Olidan, among others, who became a member of Midtown church in Baguio City.

The bible study with the new sister started when sister Remy Sumalia met brother Vicente Tulas of Baguio church who in turn, invited Lito Dumasig, Dan Oliva and later Josias Aquino to conduct the gospel plan of salvation.

The new sister was immersed into Christ at her residence in Km.5 Poblacion La Trinidad, Benguet in an " improvised" ( inflatable swimming pool) baptistry as she has difficulty in walking.

There was bible study, singing and praying before sister Gloria Solano was immersed into Christ. Josias Aquino did the baptism while Dan Oliva, Vicente Tulas, Remy Sumalia and others assisted her into the baptistry.

Praise be to God that even at age 82, sister Gloria Solano was receptive to God's words and eventually obeyed Jesus' command in Mark 16:16.
