Introduction
A. We all have goals and think how we can accomplish them
1. We need the Lord to realize or fulfill these goals
2. With the help of God and the Holy Spirit, we can accomplish our good and true goals
Discussion
A. We have to think before we act, Proverbs13:16; James 4:15-16
1. When we do things without carefully thinking about them- the result will be failure displeasing God and hurting us.
2.Oftentimes, we hurt other people by doing things not according to God's right timing
3. Without knowledge, we waste our efforts and end up farther from our goal
B. We have to consult an elder or an experienced Christian, Proverbs 15:22; Jeremiah 29:11
1. There are times when pride makes us think that our capabilities and talents are enough to reach our goals
2. The truth is that we tend to harm ourselves and find out that it is better to seek advice from God, the Bible and the people around us
3. We encounter blockages- seemingly insurmountable that without God, our family, friends and prayers, we are not able to stand up again
C. Dedicate your heart and soul to God our Father, Proverbs, Proverbs 16:3, 9
1. Let us make God the center of all our goals making our hardships and trials seem light and not burdensome
2..Let us remember that the Lord is always in control
Summary
A. It is upsetting that we can not get our goals straight and can not accomplish them
1. But with God, everything is possible; everything is with direction and planned out for us
2.Thus, let God and Jesus take over our lives and
a. we shall be surprised how we shall feel contented when we reached a small milestone in our lives
b. we feel that God got our backs and is saying, " well done, my son!"
