Women Power- Winning The World To Christ ( John 4:4-42)

Many of the Samaritans from that town ( Sychar) believed in Him because of the woman's testimony, ' He told me everything I ever did,' " ( John 4:39)

Introduction

A. The movie " Wonder Woman," played by Gal Gadot, proved that women when trained for a purpose could become a great force.

1. In this lesson, we shall discuss the subject " Women Power in World Evangelism."

2. Can they become a great force in winning souls for Christ? Let us know the TRUTH as Jesus said in John 8:32

B. Our approach in this study shall be as follows:

1. Meaning of Women Power in World Evangelism

2. Analysis of the Samaritan woman's great faith in Jesus and its results

3.Challenges for Christian women in World Evangelism Today

Discussion

A. Meaning of Women Power in World Evangelism

1.Simply, it means " harnessing Christian women so that they become evangelists and fulfilling the Great Commission of Christ," Matthew 28:19-20

2. Why world evangelism? Because the command says " go and make disciples of all nations."

3. That means " saturating the Philippines first with the pure and unadulterated gospel of Christ before going to other countries."

4.Local congregations of the Lord must have their own training programs on aggressive world evangelism.

5.If not, send them to local training schools which include women in their programs.

6. When they go abroad and work there as OFWs, they can use their evangelistic training there.

7. The persecuted Jerusalem church, composed of both men and women, Acts 5:14, were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria and preached the word wherever they went, Acts 8:1,4

B. Analysis of the Samaritan woman's great faith in Jesus and its results

1. Going towards Galilee, Jesus and His disciples had to pass through Samaria where He met a woman at Sychar drawing water from Jacob's well, John 4:4-6

2. It was noon time ( 6th hour) and the woman was alone when Jesus asked of her water to drink, John 4:7-8

3. The unnamed Samaritan woman was surprised as a Jew was asking water from her, John 4:9

4. Jesus talked about the " Living Water" ( God's words through the Holy Spirit) that will quench her spiritual thirst

5.Asking for the Living Water that leads to eternal life, she was told " call your husband and come back," John 4:16

6. Surprised that Jesus knew her real identity ( sinner and an outcast), she realized Him as a prophet and later the Messiah, John 4:19, 25

7. When Jesus told her who He was, she went back to Sychar and said " Could this be the Christ?" John 4:26, 28-30

8. The result " many of the Samaritans believed in Him because of her testimony," John 4:39, 42

C..Challenges for Christian women in World Evangelism Today

1. Drawing from the Samaritan woman's great faith and the conversion of her town mates, Christian women are faced with " bringing the world to Christ today."

2. Her encounter with Jesus, the Messiah, proved to her of God's love, compassion, forgiveness and impartiality ( to all men)

3. The same concepts about God can bring people to Christ today, John 3:16

4. Christian women can evangelize the world just as the unmarried daughters of Phillip did, Acts 21:9

5. As a great number of Christian women work in various countries, they can show real " women power in world evangelism!"

6. Indeed, they can do their share of " going and making disciples from all nations," as Jesus commanded the apostles, Matthew 28:19

7. Will you take the challenge to fulfill the Great Commission in the 21st Century?

Conclusion

A. Humanity is lost spiritually and only Christ is its hope

1.Let us show to the world ( both men and women) that Jesus is " the way, the truth and the life," John 14:6

2. Let us help people come and accept Christ's invitation in Matthew 11:28-30

B. Let us renew our faith in Jesus and His for " without faith, no one can please God," Hebrews 11:6

1. Let us teach the world that " whoever believes in Him and is baptized shall be saved," Mark 16:16

2. The time to accept Christ as our Lord and Savior is now, "

today is the day of salvation," 2 Corinthians 6:2
