C.Strategies in Leading the LGBTQ people to Christ
1. See them as ordinary persons, not as part of the LGBTQ group
- be willing to listen to them
- be understanding to them
2. Be patient and forgiving towards them
- penetrate their protective shell
- extra grace to build relationship
3. Don't over focus on their sexuality but on their being made in God's image
- Genesis 1:26 " let us make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness..."
4. Point them to Jesus as Paul said in Philippians 4:13
- " do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
5. Do not expect to know all the answers
- you are not an expert
- accept your own limitations
6. Be open about your own needs and struggles
- Jesus asked water from the Samaritan woman
- then He offered her the " living water"
7. Give hope for something spiritually better
- be the bearer of good news (gospel)
" be faithful till death and I will give you the crown of life," Revelation 2:10
8. Pray for them in honest, sincere and persistent manner
- prayer changes things
- Matthew 21:22 " whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith."
- Mark 11:24 " whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours."
